The Position

We’re currently seeking an Account Intern for our inaugural summer internship program (woo!) at AOR to work on campaign, branding, print, and digital projects (and everything in-between). This will be a 40-hour/week paid internship, running from the beginning of June to mid-August. AOR is a very fast-paced agency—quick thinking, multi-tasking, and a high-energy personality with an eagerness to learn and grow are key.

Responsibilities

  • Work with and alongside account, design, digital, and operations teams to develop and execute strategic marketing concepts through to completion
  • Collaboration with other intern(s) and mentors to run a specific intern project from start to finish
  • Active participation and contribution to all necessary client and internal meetings and brainstorms
  • Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly to-do lists and openly communicate with the trafficker on project timelines
  • Engage with clients and outside vendors

Required Experience

  • (Pursuing a) Bachelor’s degree in marketing/advertising or a similar field from a four-year college or university
  • Ability to work quickly and autonomously, while managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Unparalleled written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization
  • A love (or exuberant tolerance) for canine friends in the workplace

Bonus Points

  • A portfolio showcasing work from a marketing/account perspective
  • Prior agency experience
  • Client-facing/presentation experience  
  • Fun side-projects or notable personal achievements

  • Collaboration with other intern(s) and mentors to run your own client project from start to finish
  • Active participation and contribution to all necessary internal meetings and brainstorms
  • Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly to-do lists and openly communicate with the trafficker on project timelines
  • Engage with clients and outside vendors when appropriate

Required Experience

  • A well-rounded, knock-your-socks-off portfolio demonstrating strong design and typographic skills with solid examples of branding and identity work
  • (Pursuing a) Bachelor’s degree in graphic/communication design or a similar field from a four-year college or university
  • Ability to work quickly and autonomously, while managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to coherently and confidently provide rationale for your work
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization
  • Master knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • A love (or exuberant tolerance) for canine friends in the workplace

Bonus Points

  • Knowledge of HTML & CSS
  • Prior agency experience
  • Experience coding HTML emails
  • Client-facing/presentation experience
  • Knowledge of Adobe After Effects
  • Fun side-projects, creative applications, and personal achievements
