AOR has been working with Adams County since 2024, and our latest undertaking was to design and develop a website for their Sheriff’s office as well as their partner, FLATROCK Regional Training Center.
The goal was to create an ADA-compliant website that leveraged the county’s new brand. Ultimately though, the most important thing was that we design and develop a website that was user-friendly and enhanced communication and transparency between the Sheriff’s office and the community.
FLATROCK Training provides vital training to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, first responders, military personnel, and other law enforcement organizations. Because of their close ties to each other, we rebuilt both sites with a unified, multi-system environment, providing strategic digital guidance and delivering a cohesive web ecosystem.
We started our work with an extensive discovery and research phase, which involved all key stakeholders. That allowed us to understand goals and current obstacles before identifying opportunities. We then created sitemaps, content maps, and wireframes before moving into the full website design and development.
To enhance the website experience, we created a few custom integrations to help community members find what they were looking for most often on the Sheriff’s site. We built an inmate and warrant search function with an intuitive UI and a Bookeo integration for the FLATROCK Training Center. We created an integration with the main Adams County website that delivers fire warning notifications to the Sheriff’s Office website.
