Anniversary Logos: Small Mark, Big Moments

Branding, General

Read Time: 4 Min

Turns out, a little logo can do a lot.

Every company hits milestones.

10 years. 25. 50. 100. Usually someone remembers. Sometimes somebody even sends an email. If you’re lucky, there might be cake. And then… back to business.

We think that’s leaving a lot on the table.

Anniversary logos might seem like a small thing. A number added here. A badge created there. But when they’re done thoughtfully, they punch way above their weight.

Internally, they give people something to rally around. A visible reminder that the work has mattered and the company has stuck around long enough to prove it. That’s not nothing. That’s culture. Externally, they give your brand a reason to show up again. A fresh excuse to say something. A subtle flex that says, “We’ve been doing this well for a while.” And maybe most importantly, they give your brand a chance to feel new without actually becoming new. Which, as it turns out, is a pretty useful trick.

Let’s take a look at some recent anniversary logos and activations we’ve created.

Koelbel — 70 Years

When the Story Spans Decades

For Koelbel & Company, their 70-year anniversary became a chance to tell a longer story.

The logo marked the moment, but the work extended well beyond it. A social campaign and dedicated landing page brought Koelbel’s history to life, highlighting projects, milestones, and the evolution of the company over time. There’s something compelling about seeing that kind of timeline laid out. It gives context, shows progress, and answers the ever-important question, “why should I trust you?”

That’s where these milestones start to pull their weight. When they give people a reason to spend a little more time with your brand, and allow them to walk away with a clearer sense of who you are.

RS&H — 85 Years

Built to Work with Bigger Moments

For RS&H, this anniversary wasn’t happening in isolation. Their 85th year in business coincided with the rollout of a new five-year strategic plan. So the mark needed to do two things at once: celebrate the past and support what was next.

The solution leaned into bold color and existing brand elements, giving it immediate recognition while still feeling fresh. It also became part of a broader campaign, not just a standalone asset.

Kisinger Campo & Associates — 50 Years

A Catalyst for Something Bigger

Sometimes a milestone becomes the moment to step back and rethink. For Kisinger Campo & Associates, their 50th anniversary sparked a broader brand refresh and new website. For them, the anniversary mark was more than just celebratory, it helped anchor a new visual direction while still honoring their legacy. The result was a brand that felt both established and forward-looking.

Evolving Solutions — 30 Years

Designed to Fit, Not Replace

Unlike with KCA, for Evolving Solutions, the goal wasn’t to reinvent anything, but to complement what already existed. The 30-year mark was designed to sit seamlessly alongside their current logo. It worked across digital, presentations, and internal materials without feeling like a departure.

Newmont — 100 Years

A Milestone People Can Wear

At 100 years, you’ve earned the right to celebrate a little louder. For Newmont, one of the world’s leading gold producers, the anniversary mark needed to feel significant. Something that honored the scale and history of the company. The logo was just the first step; it then became a physical symbol through custom pins worn by employees across the organization.

More Than a Mark

Anniversary logos are easy to underestimate. They’re temporary by nature. They show up for a year, maybe two, and then quietly retire. But during that time, they do a surprising amount of work.

They give internal teams something to be proud of. They create moments worth sharing. They reinforce credibility without having to say much at all. They show up in places your standard logo doesn’t usually get invited to. And they give your brand a reason to tell its story again, which, let’s be honest, most brands don’t do nearly enough.

Is It Time to Mark the Moment?

Not every milestone needs a logo. But many do.

You might consider it if:

  • You’re hitting a major anniversary
  • You’re launching a new strategic direction
  • You want to re-engage employees or clients
  • You’re refreshing your brand or digital presence
  • You’re simply looking for a reason to tell your story again

Moments like these don’t come around often. When they do, they’re worth doing something with.

And if you want to make sure it’s done thoughtfully, in a way that actually adds value to your brand, we’re always happy to help.
