To say “thanks”, we’re embarking on a special journey in 2017.
We plan on giving back in at least 25 different ways throughout the year. From volunteering for causes close to our clients’ hearts to donating services in-kind and so much more—stay tuned to see exactly how AOR lends a hand.
As part of our way of giving back to commemorate our 25th Anniversary, we served breakfast at the Denver Rescue Mission on Wednesday, February 1. We previously developed a marketing campaign for the Rescue Mission and wanted to give back to our client and the homeless population they serve with our time.
In January AOR donated mini Jenga sets to client, Share Fair Nation. The Jenga sets are meant for teachers to use in their classrooms, to help students think, play and build brilliant ideas. Teachers received the Jenga sets at the opening of ThinkSpace by Share Fair Nation.
In March AOR partnered with client, Sage Hospitality to sponsor their Leadership Festival and provide design, content and printing services for the event.
In March AOR hosted the Colorado Chapter of the AMA for happy hour at our office for networking in support of the local marketing community.
As part of our effort of giving back to the community, this Spring AOR had the pleasure of hosting a high school student from the Rocky Mountain School of Expeditionary Learning for (RMSEL) her “Mini Challenge.”
AOR was proud to be a sponsor of our long time partner, the Denver Film Society’s 40th Annual Birthday Gala in May.
AOR has had a long history of sponsoring, volunteering, and creating marketing materials for the Denver Chalk Art Festival, and in 2017, the tradition continued.
AOR worked as a team to donate items to campers on scholarship at a local Front Range summer camp.
In July, AORians split into two groups and gave back for a day as part of Habitat for Humanity’s Critical Home Repair Program.
As a way to give back to our client, Sage Hospitality, AOR donated time and knowledge to bring the Sage Impact Leadership Summit to life.
Earlier this summer AOR partnered with our local neighborhood organization the Golden Triangle Creative District to develop the District’s messaging platform. The Creative District recently rebranded in an effort to better represent the neighborhood, members and the best interests of the residents, businesses and institutions in the area.
AOR’s print shop donated our printing services earlier this year and created booklets in support of HealthEd Connect’s programming. HealthEd Connect works to empower women and children through evidence-based health, education, and advocacy programs in various African Villages.
As AOR grows and technology continuously improves we sometimes find it is necessary to upgrade our computers. 2017 was a year AOR needed new computers and we were delighted to donate our old computers to Denver Tech for All. Denver Tech for All is a 100% volunteer based computer recycling foundation with the mission of giving away refurbished equipment to qualified recipients at no charge.
AOR is an ardent supporter of continuing education so we were happy to host a Business Marketing Association of Colorado educational panel and happy hour in June. The panel focused on the importance of a team and how marketing teams and departments should help inform all activities throughout an organization.
Every year AOR supports our friends at the TKM Foundation by playing in their annual golf tournament. Not only is it a summer highlight but we get to support their mission of focusing on the needs of young people, preparing them to enter the workforce with character, ethics and leadership skills.
This summer AOR kicked off our inaugural internship program. Throughout the course of 10 weeks our interns worked with the Denver Film Society to build a brand identity and messaging platform for their program, Reel Social Club.
This summer AOR supported the efforts of Urban Nights by donating all the printed materials for the event, our President, Matthew Keeney also sat on the planning committee for this annual summer event.
